This sweet little mama squirrel hangs out in my sweetgum tree quite often. She knows I leave her treats at the base of said tree. Her favorite treat: apple peels & cores! But today she is content to get the seeds from the sweetgum balls that have fallen.

What a wonderful way to close out November! Raymond and I went to the Hinson Conservation & Recreation area in Marianna, Florida today to get in some hiking. There are several loops of this trail and we went on the North Loop because we are familiar with it. It winds along the beautiful Chipola River and it’s quite scenic. It was absolutely gorgeous with blue skies and lots of sunshine. The first half of the North Loop is fairly level and flat and that is what I’m sharing today. Hope you enjoy wandering along with us!

The leaves have turned, fallen from the trees. Summer’s flowers have dried into fall bouquets. It won’t be long til the Winter winds come to blow their cold breathe. Farewell gentle Fall with all your flaming colors, the smell of wood smoke and fresh picked apples from the orchard. It’s time to prepare for Winter’s arrival.
