This old beauty is a prairie 2-6-2 locomotive built by Baldwin in 1912. From it’s cabbage smokestack it was probably a wood burner. It served in Northern Florida as part of the turpentine industry before coming to Manatee to shuttle supplies for the Manatee Crate Company. In 2002 it was moved to the Manatee Historical Village in Bradenton, Florida. My sincerest thanks go to Sandra, the Madsnapper, my dear blogging friend for taking these photos for this post.
